HP PalmPad

The new HP PalmPad Topaz is much anticipated in the I-Pad dominated tablet space.  There will be a  university version that will have an 8.9″ screen and will have access to a university’s education software which will bring a plethora of opportunity for specific uses.

Imagine having an app with all of your classes on it and your schedule.  You can download textbooks and specific assignments from instructors etc.

The future of this market is incredible.  All of a given Universities information could be accessed from this platform.  HP is said to be working very hard in this arena.

HP’s acquisition of Palm, a leader in the handheld market may prove yet to be a home run.  The timing of this entry into the market is stellar with Apples I-Pad no longer a new thing and Steve Jobs potentially leaving full time work.  The Palm Platform is not new and is well liked and stable.

The Palm WebOS is well liked with its card style layout, which actually  lends itself to a better tablet experience.  The Palm Pad will be a bit slimmer than its I pad counter part and have rounded edges  and weigh about 1.25 lbs.  It also supplies a USB 3.0 port and and “multi-switch” similar to the one on the Palm Pre.

Check out the Consumer Electronics show in 2011 for the new HP PalmPad Topaz and see what all the fuss is about meanwhile it is good news for all of us who want to own one of these bad boys but are not inclined to drop five C-Notes to get one.
